Tentative Date Set!!!

We now have a tentative date set for the BIG game, Saturday May 8th 10:00 a.m. Of course as always this date is subject to change, but we hope it doesn't because if we wait too long heat becomes a factor.

With that being said the time is NOW. If you're going to play in the M&M BOWL you must enter the draft which will be held in a couple of weeks. Just shoot me an e-mail.

All WYFFers are eligible. Your spouses are eligible. Anyone who has played in previous years is also eligible. Friends of WYFFers are also eligible as long as we have their name and they pass our physical, just kidding. We'll let you know which of the four captains picks you. Info on food and t-shirts to come later.

Thanks,
-Mark

Jarzaout...Is the Dill Done?

(Ann Arbor Michigan)

In a hastily called conference call with M&M Bowl officials and select members of the media, Commissioner Dennis Jarzabek announced his resignation today. Jarrzabek made it quick and to the point, "After three years, I'm done. I'm going to pursue other projects." Mr. Jarzabek took no questions and hung up.

There's much speculation as to what these "other projects" are. It's been widely known that that Jarz has a growing interest in music and some believe he is working on a solo album. Many believe the album will combine his three favorite genres Country, Regae and Rap into a fusion called CRAP. Whatever he's doing, he's definitely no longer commissioner.

In a surprising announcement, Draft host Gordon Dill said, "If there's no Jarz, there's no Dill", after learning of the Jarz resignation.

M&M Bowl Captains gave their reactions to the whole thing. Mark Allen said, "We all saw this coming. The last three years with Jarzabek have been a train wreck. And as far as Dill goes, I didn't realize the two of them were that intimate."

Kevin Moran had this to say," I think we'll learn he was forced about the Ethics Committee for betting on the games. I guess all those dropped passes were on purpose. But this will allow the relationship between Jarz and Dill to flourish."

Michael Stone wished them well,"I'm only concerned with important matters, but I hope they're happy together."
Mark Lyon seemed to have more of a problem with Dill."It's a shame, I thought Jarz was about to take it to the next level, but I'll be first in line to buy his album at Family Dollar. But this just proves Dill can't be funny without Jarz and he was afraid of not having good material. Comics like him are a dime a dozen."

Speculation as to who will fill the role of Commissioner is already wide spread. Several names are already being thrown out there, including: Mike Giordano, Scott Enright, Chris Cato, Michael Cogdill, Nick Nygro, Sean Musseralo and Mary Ann Snyder.

Mark Lyon suggested the brakes be put on the process,"We're not going to speculate in a public forum. We're going to have an exhaustive search and intense interviews or maybe just see who's not busy that night."

WHAT TEAM DO YOU WANT TO BE ON?

This year's M&M Bowl boasts way more captains with 'M' related names, so here's a promo so you can get more familiar with each of their playing bragging styles. [nevermind the old date]

League commissioner (and all around loud-mouth), Dennis Jarzabek shot off his mouth about what he thinks of each of the team captains:

MARK LYON: "He's a great captain and he has done great things for this league, but he's past his prime and I think it's time for him to move on (However, he belongs in the Hall of Fame and we will badges on our 'uniforms' to commemorate him in M&M Bowl V for the first quarter)."

MICHAEL STONE: "A newcomer who thinks he's the man, but he's soft and I can expect him to fade away fast."

MARK ALLEN: "We only let him inot the league because his name starts with 'M'. I'm not sure he's qualified to be here. Maybe he should try Canada."

KEVIN MORAN: "I never speak to him much, so I better watch what I say."

RE-MARK YOUR CALENDARS

Due to some unforseen scheduling conflicts, the throwdown showdown football fantasy has been rescheduled for FEBRUARY 16TH.

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN!

"Play ball!" It's time to start gearing up for the annual (not officially sanctioned by WYFF)M&M Bowl football extravaganza. We've got the website back up, with some new videos - and a new domain name: MARKvsMARK.com

This year the M&M Bowl is bigger and better than ever before! We have a few daring, new tricks up our sleeves - including a live music half-time show! But the most important change will be in the tournament itself. For year four of the M&M Bowl we're gonna have FOUR TEAMS battle for football supremacy. Your team captains are featured on the right side of the page, so you know who to start buttering up before the draft in January.

M&M BOWL 3 VICTORY CEREMONY

What exactly do you get when your team wins the M&M Bowl (other than bragging rights)? Here's last year's closing ceremony:

This year we're gonna turn the dial up to 11. There'll be more rockin' and even more celebratory high fives, so MARK your calenadars for February 2nd!
