IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN!

"Play ball!" It's time to start gearing up for the annual (not officially sanctioned by WYFF)M&M Bowl football extravaganza. We've got the website back up, with some new videos - and a new domain name: MARKvsMARK.com



This year the M&M Bowl is bigger and better than ever before! We have a few daring, new tricks up our sleeves - including a live music half-time show! But the most important change will be in the tournament itself. For year four of the M&M Bowl we're gonna have FOUR TEAMS battle for football supremacy. Your team captains are featured on the right side of the page, so you know who to start buttering up before the draft in January.

What exactly do you get when your team wins the M&M Bowl (other than bragging rights)? Here's last year's closing ceremony:



This year we're gonna turn the dial up to 11. There'll be more rockin' and even more celebratory high fives, so MARK your calenadars for February 2nd!

BREAKING NEWS: NEW COMMISH!

We just received the following release from M&M Bowl CEO, Mark Lyon: "With the departure of Chris Smyth, the Big Game needed a new commissioner. I'm happy to announce that person is Dennis Jarzabek." Dennis had this to say about his new role:


Dennis will start immediately (after a short smoking break). Stay tuned for information on the M&M BOWL IV pre-season.

Thanks to everyone who came out for M and M Bowl III - we had quite a turnout this year. Expect to see some highlights and a TON of photos in the next few days, but here's quick shot of the winning team, "Team Allen":

THE M&M BOWL DRAFT REPORT

Okay, so it's a little late on getting to the website. Here's the official draft report (which was edited down from the hours to six-and-half minutes). Enjoy!

IF THERE'S GRASS ON THE FIELD...

Mark Lyon (under the watchful, non-partial eye of Jeff Durham) went out and inspected the Furman practice field this afternoon, making sure everything will be up to our particularly high M&M Bowl standards.



The first thing they came across wasn't particularly inviting. Hopefully Melissa Bayles got the proper clearance so we won't have to run from the campus police. Not that it's that hard to keep away from a golf cart.

And here's a shot of where dreams will be crushed next weekend.

BREAKING NEWS!

We have breaking news to report! Mark Willis, quarterback of "Team Marc (with a C)" will be unable to play due to a scheduling conflict. But rather than ending this year's competition with a forfeit, morning news reporter, Mark Allen will be stepping in as the new team captain.

No word at this hour on whether the newly lead team will also be called, "Team Mark (with a K)" or if Allen plans on permanently changing the spelling of his first name to accomadate everyone else (which would be the less selfish thing, really).

THIS YEAR'S FEAST

Beth Brotherton is had at work preparing this year's BBQ feast, but we had a chance to catch up with her for this tantalizing preview:

"Well, I haven't even made my annaul trip to Wal-Mart yet, so I'm not really that hard at work on it. But, I assure you it'll be the best cheetos you've ever had."
